Shadingfield

Caroline ‘Cally’ Ellis (Chair of SSWE jt. Parish Council)

Cally has lived in Willingham St. Mary since early 2016 when she moved here with her husband, Richard.  Having been involved in the project for the Shadingfield and Willingham St. Mary village sign, she began to take an interest in Parish Council matters and was co-opted onto the Council in November 2017.

From 1978 Cally worked in the City of London, latterly in risk and project management and has spent several years living and working overseas.

She is interested in all matters that affect our community and those who live and work in it and it is her aim to be fair and objective when looking at the issues put before the Council, speaking without fear or favour.

Cally enjoys cooking so joined a great team at the monthly Shadingfield Village Hall lunch club.   In addition to her love of food she also enjoys walking, reading and music.

Willingham St Mary

Robbie London

Robbie had a very happy childhood growing up in Dagenham. Her parents paid for her to attend a secretarial college and she left there in 1965 to work firstly for Walt Disney, then on to various temporary office jobs until she decided to pursue her love of dancing and travelled around Germany, Austria and Switzerland before returning home and settling down with her now husband, Joe.  They moved to Suffolk in 1974, worked at Warner’s Holliday camp in Corton, Lowestoft, then came to live in Shadingfield in 1975 where they helped her in-laws with the running of The Shadingfield Fox.  Robbie’s other jobs have been mainly in bar management and her love of music means she is still active as a DJ. As a family, they also run a Limousine hire business.

She has 2 sons and 5 grandsons.

Robbie joined the Parish Council because she would like to be involved in maintaining a healthy village community and improving facilities for all.
